Still Life I

Since I posted the last study entitled "Still Life II", I decided to publish the first one, which I did back in 2019.

In this drawing, once again, I was trying to practice my fundamentals skills, especially human anatomy and lighting / shading. I think it took me a total of 7 days of work to complete this study.

I really liked the end result of this piece, even if it isn't as polished as the second one. Nowadays I prefer a more texture and simple look in drawings / paintings instead of something too over-polished with unnecessary details, which in most cases, don't add anything substantial to the artwork. And you? What do you prefer? Haha
