Aurora II

This artwork was made in 2020, and like most of my drawings since 2018, it was an opportunity to practice my fundamentals skills, however this time the main focus was on the composition and the storytelling behind the overall piece.

Yes, I'm familiar with the singer known as "Aurora", but this drawing wasn't inspired by her haha I based this artwork on the goddess Aurora, from the Roman mythology, since back then I was reading the book "The Age of Fable" written by Thomas Bulfinch. It's a great book, and I really recommend it if you like this type of subject (mythology).

If you are an artist just like me, you can use the stories presented in the book as inspiration for an illustration or whatever artistic activity that you are developing at the moment. There are a bunch of tales in it that can really boost your creativity skills, and sometimes I find myself going back to it just to pick at least, some names for my works.
